Skolbio (School cinema) / The Swedish Film Institute

At the cinema it's just you and the world of the film, and emotions have free access. You can settle in, gain strength, recognize yourself, get upset and cry a little in the dark where no one sees you. The interviewees talk with humor and empathy about strong movie experiences that changed them, and why movies at the cinema are something different than sitting alone in front of a screen. They also talk about how school cinema can initiate thoughts and conversations in a different way than in the classroom. Here we have selected quotes from the interviews in a short version for social media.
